Coach Gib ArnoldLAS CRUCES, New Mexico (HawaiiNewsNow) – The road proved to be too much for the Rainbow Warrior basketball team as they lost their 5th straight game 82-64 at New Mexico State (9-9, 3-1). The Aggies had four players in double figures and forced 20 UH turnovers as they defeated Hawaii for the 6th consecutive time Thursday.
Hawaii again had trouble putting the ball in the hoop making just .384 percent (24-63) of their shots as a team. Junior guard Zane Johnson led Hawaii with a career high 25 points (9-19 shooting) but the rest of the Rainbow squad struggled to find the range (15-54 FGs, .234 percent).
UH drops to 0-5 in WAC play and 9-8 overall. They'll pay a visit to Louisiana Tech on Saturday.
