HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu is about to become more bike friendly.
Transportation officials plan to release the city's bicycle master plan later this month.
According to our partners at the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, it would include a map of where new bike lanes would be placed and interim solutions until long-term solutions can be worked out.
In the meantime, the University of Hawaii is offering its students bicycle safety classes funded by the Department of Transportation.
The two-hour class is free. For more information, visit www.hbl.org/commutercycling101 and www.hbl.org/walkbikedrive.
