WASHINGTON (RNN) - Two more agents have resigned from the Secret Service and a third has lost his security clearance, bringing the total number of agents to lose their detail to nine, CNN has reported.
The agents lost their jobs in the wake of the so-called prostitution sex scandal, in which more than a dozen agents and members of the U.S. military have been implicated in bad behavior in advance of President Barack Obama's summit trip to Columbia.
Eleven members of the U.S. military are being investigated: Six from the Army, two from the Navy, two from the Marine Corp, and one from the Air Force.
An investigation has been launched into whether White House employees staying in same hotel as Obama were also involved.
One Secret Service member investigated was cleared last week of serious misconduct, CNN reported.
